Erica,

I like this post a lot. Something I have been playing with is a membership site, so your information is helpful.

Erica,
Thank you for the #themeword. It really is pushing me to succeed. This year my #themeword is action. I posted in my blog! #Themeword and Goals
This year is full of promise and I have great friends like you, Erica, to thank for that. Thank you for being so full of encouragement and courage. And I plan to get a membership site started too, as soon as I get some more money together for WishList.

Going with two words this year: "Deliver delight."

This has already motivated me to take extra steps when finishing up jobs for clients.

Looking forward to Guest Post Secrets.

I’ve never thought about a #themeword but read about it on Andy Dolph's blog at http://andydolph.com/2010/01/03/starting-2010-with-a-different-kind-of-resolution

As soon as I read the word on his blog, my mind shouted “Passion” at me. That’s always been my favorite word (well, maybe not always, I suspect when I was a kid, it was more like “fun” and when I was a teenager, it was more like “angst” but, hey, I’m an old fogy now and if I say always, take it how you like it!)

What it means for me is to continue to develop all aspects of passion for myself. My writing, making a grand living doing that and teaching that, traveling (another passion) which I can then do more readily, and, of course, having the common meaning of passion in my life – i.e. someone to share it with. Think that about covers it. I’ve already declared 2010 an exciting year. With this, I’m now that much more excited.

Thanks for the concept, Erica. I'll go tweet about it now!

Congratulations on setting goals that are simultaneously challenging, specific and achievable. Sounds like you're going to have a busy and prosperous year.

I'd set my themewords using Chris Brogan's #3words model. He suggests creating words that are more about marking your direction than specific goals - "lighthouse words" which are very personal and evocative. Mine are Mark, Grasp, Ferret. For the curious, I explained them a bit on my site.

You mentioned needing a VA for interview-scheduling. Drop me a line if you'd like the contact info of an excellent one who used to work for me. She's Denver-based, trustworthy, can write and think well, and has great people skills. She was both tenacious and kind in reminding me of commitments I needed to act on. She was our online Affiliate Manager, and has specific experience in setting up, running and recording guest interviews.

Hi Erica,

Thanks for the reminder to create a themeword for this year!

I plan to create 4 products, and to get my Daily Prayer For Healing blog published.

Therefore, my themeword for 2010 is InspiredSynchronicity to get these goals accomplished with vision and inspiration!

Thank you!!

Hi Erica - oh how cool you started the #themeword hashtag!! I ought to have been using it too for the past few years. hehe. Thanks for your comment on my post - my 2010 one-word theme is "TEAM."

This practice is extremely powerful - with "Influence" as my 2009 theme word and "Focus" for 2008, I experienced tremendous shifts in both my personal and business life. It's like our subconscious mind goes to work the moment we commit to the essence of the theme word!! :)

Great blog, btw.
Cheers,
@marismith
